Dear Applicant,

Our staff is here to serve our members, and work exchangers are here to support the staff and serve the members as needed. Enhancing the environment that has been created requires an atmosphere of harmony, discipline, right-mindedness and a yearning for spiritual growth. To be on work exchange requires a combination of fulfilling the needs of our members, offering excellence in your efforts, appreciating and respecting others who are serving, and, at the same time, effort in pursuing the opportunity to advance your own spiritual growth.

Our retreat center is rooted in the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi and the founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship. We honor all truth seekers. Our meals are vegetarian. Song of the Morning has a strict policy: the use of tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs and coming onto the property under the influence are prohibited.

Are you ready for an important step in the unfoldment of your life? If so, please complete and submit this application. Please be sure to take your time to provide meaningful, reflective answers. Space is limited in our work exchange program, and we are looking for candidates who we believe are well suited for this type of experience. Please take your time to share with us who you are, providing thoughtful but concise responses to the questions. We suggest typing your responses into a word document so you can spell check and be sure you are accurately expressing yourself.

Next, please email a brief cover letter and resume to Thank you so much for your interest in our work exchange program! We will be in contact with you soon.
