Fundraising Campaign
We recently launched a multi-year campaign, “On the Way to the Garden Court,” while celebrating our founder’s birthday on Labor Day Weekend. The “Let There Be Light” event was filled with Hatha Yoga pageantry, wholesome food and fellowship, tours of the property to display our progress with renovations/restoration, Fellowship with Yogacharya, featuring newly compiled conversations from the 1960’s, the Golden Lotus Film Festival, and more. We worshipped and meditated together, told stories from life at Song of the Morning when Yogacharya was in residence and raised more than $140,000 toward our $60,000 goal to replace all Boathouse windows and doors. And because of your astounding generosity for this project, we are well on our way to accomplish a complete exterior and interior restoration of the Boathouse, where our beloved Yogacharya Oliver Black lived, counseled and communed with the divine on this property he gifted to us.
Friends & Members Weekend
Each autumn, our Golden Lotus Board hosts a “Friends and Members” weekend at the Retreat center. This weekend provides opportunity for the Board to share about recent projects and gather input from our membership. It is also a time for fellowship, devotion, meals, and enjoying our beautiful retreat center together.
